This century old neoclassical Eliopoulos Mansion, originally a captain’s house, was designed by celebrated Greek decorator Aggelos Aggelopoulos. Incorporating the customary color combination of white and turquoise, he has given the villa an authentic, modern feel that reflects the culture that 19th Century ship owners—arriving from travels abroad—brought to Santorini. White is customary of Cycladic architecture and the turquoise dates to the long-held Greek belief that this particular shade of blue has the power to ward off evil.
